WAAH New Beginnings Exhibition
Update - the New Beginnings Exhibition will remain installed until the end of August.
New Beginnings Exhibition
For the “New Beginnings” exhibition, I will be showcasing pieces from my “Lets Celebrate” Series from 2024. These works are all about honouring personal wins - getting through tough times, hitting milestones, and taking a moment to appreciate the journey. The series is a reminder that even small victories deserve to be celebrated, and that every ending can also be the start of something new.
The Women’s Art Association of Hamilton (WAAH) will be hosting the “New Beginnings” Exhibition April 25th to the end of August at The Cotton Factory.

Art in the Barn
It all started in 2015 with an idea for a fundraiser for the North Dorchester Agricultural Society, we wanted to create an Arts & Crafts event that would offer an incredible selection of items that would pique the interest of our visitors around every corner.
Fast forward to the present, the event has grown and is now 2 days with vendors from all over Ontario, Quebec, and the east coast. We have visitors coming in from as far away as Owen Sound, Pickering, Toronto and Michigan to name a few.
The saying 'It takes a village', it really does. the Lambeth Lions Club ensures the parking runs smoothly, the Dorchester runs the BBQ and feeds the hungry crowds, and the Belmont Lions Club provides the tents and shade.
Plan on coming and spending the day or both days and shop 5 buildings and surrounding properties full of artisans, crafters, soaps, jewelry, clothing, furniture, pet items, authors, candles, pottery, stained glass, up-cycled, recycled and vintage products as well.
Come hungry, our famous PANCAKE BREAKFAST is hosted by the North Dorchester Agricultural Society and our Local Dorchester Lions Club will be serving Peameal on a Bun as well as BBQing all day. We also have a variety of food trucks and food vendors to tantalize your taste buds. Sip an iced tea or enjoy an ice cream cone under the shade of a tree and take it all in.
We work together and proudly support a variety of community groups.
Cost $5 per car

AWP has three exhibitions a year, each lasting four months and featuring the work of over 100 local artists.

Oakville Art in the Park
PROMOTING ARTISTS AND ARTISANS SINCE 1965
Art In The Park
In 1965, the OAS created Art in the Park to promote local artists and artisans. Today this show has blossomed into Oakville’s premiere art event with artists and artisans from across the country. This show boasts only original work where artists are chosen for their originality and command of their chosen medium. Every medium is represented, from traditional oil, acrylic, and watercolour paintings, to glass, ceramics, photography, mixed media, sculpture, and fine jewelry.
Art in the Park has gained a reputation for being one of the best-run art shows in southern Ontario and features more than 175 booths. The event attracts thousands of people to the Bronte waterfront every year. Visitors get to meet the artists and learn about the works they have created. Art in the Park is a one-day event always held on the Civic Holiday Monday in August at Bronte Heritage Waterfront Park, Bronte Road and Ontario Street, in Oakville, Ontario. Show hours are 10 am to 5 pm.

On Paper 2024 at Grimsby Public Art Gallery
2025 marks 50 years of the Grimsby Public Art Gallery. When the gallery opened in 1975, director William Poole created an annual tradition of hosting an end-of-term exhibition and sale for his printmaking students at O.C.A.D. The “Gallery 9” and “Gallery 19” shows saw hundreds of emerging print artists and spurred the creation of our Teaching Collection by accepting one print of each edition into our permanent collection. This collection has been used as an incredible educational resource as part of our ‘Art in Schools’ program in the Grimsby community.
